AC Gearbox & Differential

The AC motor, with its high rpm limit, can be used without a conventional transmission for shift-free driving by coupling it to a single speed gearbox. The Solectria AT1200 gearbox with integrated differential is designed to be used with the AC23 and AC24 motors.

For Geo Metro conversions, we can supply unequal length halfshafts with CV joints that are a bolt-in fit with the AT1200 and the car's original suspension. For other front wheel drive conversions, we can supply a pair of equal length halfshafts with inner CV joints to fit the AT1200. The conversion builder would then take these to an axle shop to have them cut to size and fitted with the appropriate outer CV joints for the chassis. Contact us if you need assistance with this.
